As the founder of Crema App, I identified a gap in the market where coffee lovers wanted to skip the lines but still enjoy their favorite local coffee shops. The challenge was creating an intuitive mobile experience that would work seamlessly for both customers and busy coffee shop staff, while building trust and encouraging adoption from both sides of the marketplace.
The opportunity
As the founder of Crema App, I identified a gap in the market where coffee lovers wanted to skip the lines but still enjoy their favorite local coffee shops. The challenge was creating an intuitive mobile experience that would work seamlessly for both customers and busy coffee shop staff, while building trust and encouraging adoption from both sides of the marketplace.
What we did
I designed and developed the complete user experience from ground up, including customer-facing mobile app, merchant dashboard, and backend systems. The design focused on speed, simplicity, and building trust between customers and local businesses. We implemented features like customizable orders, loyalty programs, and real-time order tracking to create a comprehensive ecosystem.
The outcome
Crema App successfully secured seed funding and gained significant media attention in the startup community. The app achieved strong user engagement rates and helped participating coffee shops increase their efficiency during peak hours. The project became a catalyst for my deeper dive into design and led to valuable learnings about product market fit and user behavior in the food service industry.
